Lanolin is a natural by-product of freshly shorn sheep's wool, extracted during the shearing process. New wool nappy covers often come stripped of this essential lanolin. By lanolising the wool cover, you restore its natural water-repelling and moisture-evaporation properties, enhancing its effectiveness.

1. Fill a bucket or sink with lukewarm water, enough to cover your wool cover. Ensure the water is no hotter than 30°C.
2. Place 1/4 tsp of lanolin per cover into a standard mug. Add a Poppet (or a squirt of baby wash).
3. Pour freshly boiled water into the mug to fill it, then stir until the lanolin is fully dissolved and the solution turns milky.
4. Pour the entire mug of solution into the lukewarm water. (Ensure the water temperature remains no hotter than 30°C.)
5. Submerge the wool cover and let it soak for 2-4 hours.

• For new wool covers, repeat the soaking process 2 more times, without drying in between soaks.
• For refreshing an existing wool cover, a single soak is sufficient.

1. To dry, gently squeeze out excess water from the wool cover, then lay it flat on a dry towel. Roll the towel up to remove additional moisture. Finally, lay the wool flat or hang it to dry.
