Our Story

A family-led journey to make sustainable parenting simple.

We’re Becky and Andy – husband and wife, parents to five, and proud latecomers to reusables.

For a long time, we wanted to raise our children in a more eco-friendly way — but like many families, we found plenty of reasons not to. Time, money, and the overwhelm of not knowing where to start made it feel out of reach.

Then baby number five came along, and we could no longer ignore our desire to do better.

Where It All Began

With the climate crisis impossible to ignore, we realised that small changes could make a big difference. Sustainability didn’t have to be expensive, and the information was all there — we just had to take the first step.

We started with cloth nappies and wipes, and quickly began making small, everyday swaps at home. It wasn’t perfect — we made plenty of mistakes! — but each one taught us something. And soon, we discovered how achievable and rewarding it really was.

Sharing the Journey

Becky began sharing our experience on social media, and to our surprise, people started asking for help. One question came up again and again:

“How do you use your cloth wipes?”

We explained, we filmed little videos, we offered tips. But for some, it still felt too complicated — reaching for disposables was just easier.

That’s when Becky said:
“I wish there was something simple — a pod you could just pop into water that softened the wipes, smelled amazing, and cared for baby’s skin.”

Andy replied:
“Well, let’s make it.”

And Just Like That, Poppets Was Born

In the middle of a global pandemic, our first batch of Poppets came to life — natural, gentle wipe solution pods made by hand, in plastic-free packaging, safe for bottoms, hands, and faces.

Our mission was simple:
Make reusable parenting easier, softer, and a little bit more joyful.

Since then, Poppets has grown into a much-loved brand with a growing family of eco-conscious parents — and we’re so proud of how far we’ve come.
